All School Fees must be paid:  Prior to June 7 2024

GRAD CEREMONY & BANQUET PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • be a student in good standing; abiding by all Alix-MAC's rules and behavior expectations,
  • have earned the required credits, and be passing the courses required for a diploma at the time of graduation exercises,
  • have no outstanding fees or books,

Graduation Date:  Thursday, June 27, 2024

Ceremony in the Alix-MAC School Gym  - Time:  TBA

Banquet:  Alix Hall starting at TBA

 

Banquet tickets: 

Cost: TBA per person

Tickets will be on sale starting: to be announced.

Payable on the Parent Portal, by debit/credit at the school office, or by cash or cheque payable to Wolf Creek Public Schools.

No refunds on pre-paid tickets.

Group photo will be taken by Lifetouch Canada - Each Grad will receive one free 8x10.

Grads:  Time to arrive:

Grads will be lined up with their escorts in the order they will be sitting on stage.

Reserved Tables are only available for Grads, Dignitaries and any family with Guests who have purchased banquet tickets.  Please arrive early to see where you will be sitting.

Graduation Requirements

Gr. 12’s will not be able to participate in the Graduation Ceremonies, if they have not completed the necessary requirements.

Certificate of Achievement or High School Diploma

Diploma Credits Needed for Graduation:

English - 15 credits (10, 20 and 30 Level)

Social - 15 credits (10, 20 and 30 Level)

Math - 10 credits (10 and 20 Level)

Science - 10 credits (10 and 20 Level)

CALM - 3 credits

PE 10 - 3 credits

CTS:  10 credits (Options)

10 credits:  30 Level courses other than English and Social 30 (Work experience, Bio 30, Chemistry 30, Math 30, Advanced CTS courses)

Electives- 24 credits:  any other course taken at any level that has not been "used" or credited in the above categories.

(You can use a maximum of 15 work experience credits, you can use a maximum of 40 credits from the RAP program, and you can use a maximum of 25 language credits towards graduation credits)

Total High School Credits = 100

Certificate of High School Achievement Requirements:

80 Credits in the following:

English 20-2 or 30-4 

Math 10-3 or 20-4

Science 14 or 20-4

Social 10-2 or 20-4

Phys. Ed 10 (3 credits)

CALM - 3 credits

5 credits in:

30-level Knowledge and Employability occupational course, or

Advanced level (3000 series) in Career and Technology Studies courses, or

30-level locally developed course with an occupational focus

AND 5 credits in:

30-level Knowledge and Employability Workplace Practicum course, or

30-level Work Experience course, or

30-level Green Certificate course, or

Special Projects 20

OR

5 credits in:

30-level Registered Apprentice Program (RAP) course

 Total credits = 80

 

ALL School Fees (including past years) need to be paid in full before Graduation Ceremony on June 27th.  Contact the principal if you would like to discuss these fee payments.

All Diploma marks will be in by July 19, 2024- state's Alberta Learning. You can also check your marks on “My Pass”.  Ensure that you are set up for myPass with your personal email (not the Wolf Creek email address).
